Home Decor Trends to keep an eye out for in 2023
The new year is a time of reflection of the year past, but but it’s also an opportunity to look forward and consider what’s to come! This applies to home decor trends just as much as anything.
In 2023, home decor and interior design are trending towards the incorporation of natural elements into contemporary settings. Adding warmth and serenity to spaces that might otherwise be cold, modern, and geometric. Here are the Top 5 Home Decor Trends to keep an eye out for in 2023!
“The Modern Arch Trend” will continue to be a popular element of interior design and home decor in 2023. Incorporating curvature through arches can help make soften a space and add more visual interest. Expect to see the use of arches in furniture, hallways, mirrors, shelves, cabinets, and decor.
Curved Furniture is another example of utilizing organic shapes to soften a room. Breaking up more geometric elements in a home with natural shapes can help make a space feel welcoming, familiar, and relaxing. This is a trend that is here to stay!
A material like wood can be found in just about every home, but after years of stained and high gloss woods, natural finishes are back! Natural wood has a serene, classic, and timeless look that fits with any season or home decor change!
It is no secret that fluted and reeded details are becoming increasingly popular throughout architecture, furniture, and home decor items. These trendy accents can bring texture to and make a statement amongst minimalist and contemporary spaces! Expect to see an increase of these details across home decor elements in 2023.
Bouclé furniture was one of the hottest trends of 2022. A topic of great debate however, is whether or not it is here to stay! We’ll let you be the judge of this one, but I myself will continue to decorate my home with bouclé furniture pieces, as they provide texture and increased depth to neutral spaces. What do you think?

A New Year means a Winter Home Refresh!
As the New Year quickly approaches we are all ready for a fresh start. We put away Christmas Decor, set our resolutions, and start to prepare for the next season. Even though the holidays are over, it is still technically winter, and where I live there is snow on the ground for potentially the next few months. I always decorate for the season which means the evergreen accents, pinecones, and faux fur throws and pillows are still scattered throughout our home. I love the feeling of our casual modern home, but I still want it to feel cozy and welcoming. Curling up the the fire with a good book is still on the To-Do list. Spring branches won’t make their appearance for a couple more months at least. Here’s some of my favorite decor items in my home and in my shopping cart! All of the pieces create the perfect neutral base for your home that you can easily add seasonal accents to.

This might be the easiest and most classy appetizer for holiday parties!
When it comes to entertaining guests during the holidays –The more the merrier, right?
Cooking for larger crowds can be an undertaking in and of itself. Whether you are in charge of bringing the appetizer, or single-handedly hosting the festivities. Entertaining doesn’t have to be complicated – simplify your life with these delicious and easy appetizer recipes!
• 1- Pre-Made Pie Crust
• 1- Brie Round
• 1- Fruit Spread-I used Fig
• 1- Egg
• Crackers, Apples, Pears
Remove the top of the Brie round and score the Brie. Wrap the Brie with the pastry dough, pressing at the top to hold the dough together. Beat one egg and brush the pastry with the egg wash. This will help hold your dough together. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 min until golden brown. Serve with crackers, apples, and pear slices.
This recipe is easily adaptable and would be amazing if paired with cranberry sauce, blackberry preserves, apricot preserves. I love it with pecans and caramel!
My Favorite Holiday Cocktails!
The holidays are a wonderful time to gather and celebrate the season with friends and family. Coming together to laugh and create beautiful new memories.
But, I think that we can all agree that another fun part of the holidays is the yummy food and drinks! As you know, I love to create beautiful crafted cocktails/mocktails for my friends and family. What better way to celebrate than with some delicious and beautiful beverages! Shop my favorite Holiday Entertaining Favorites HERE!
This year I tried out a new Holiday Sangria that was a huge hit, put together a Create Your Own “Sparkling Holiday Punch” Bar, and made my favorite batch Paloma.
Makes 1 Pitcher:
• 2- Oranges
• 2- Pears
• 1- Cup Cranberries
• 3- Cinnamon Sticks
• 5- Slices of Fresh or Candied Ginger
• Handful of Fresh Rosemary
• 1- Cup Apple Cider
• 1- Cup Cranberry Juice- I added Pomegranate Juice with it.
• 1- Cup Brandy
• 1- Bottle Red or White Wine
• 3- Cups Ginger Beer
You can also add a bottle of Prosecco if you like even more bubbly! Stir and Enjoy!

Tips for entertaining this holiday season and how to Host a fabulous Christmas party!
The Holiday season is a time of year filled with entertaining, parties, and social gatherings. Whether you’re planning a large party or a small, intimate get together, it is the Host’s attention to detail that impresses the guests the most. Entertaining during the holiday can seem more stressful than enjoyable. But with a little bit of planning and some creativity, you’ll be on your way to hosting a fabulous party. Here are my go to tips for when I am preparing to host for the Holidays!
Too many times I waited until the day before or the day of an event to move around furniture, change out faux floral stems, remove and set up decor on table/serving areas, and I was rushed for time. Doing this a week ahead of time makes the rest of your week so much smoother. This is also a great time to “pickup” your home and any misplaced items. It is a bit too early to actually clean, but make sure that things are in their place and clutter is removed.
It will be easier to add decor and fresh florals closer to your event if everything else is already picked up.
My number one Rule for the day before a bigger event is NOT leave your home unless you absolutely have to. This is the day to complete everything that can be prepped ahead of time!
NOW it is time to have fun and actually ENJOY your party or holiday!

LAST YEARS BEST SELLING 15’ GARLAND is BACK and ON SALE!

The stunning Norfolk Garland has been a favorite for many years, but when it released last year in the 15’ everyone grabbed it as fast as they could! It was sold out before the end of September and was never restocked. The longer length makes styling stairways and mantles fast and seamless. I used 3 15’ and 1 6’ on our railing last year, doubling it up for added fullness. I attached it with zip ties and added a velvet ribbon and a strand of lights.

Which Sphere do you like better…The Boxwood or Cedar?
I am actually loving a mix of both! My new Garden Spheres have added so much detail, color and personality to our back patio. The color and texture is so pretty. The boxwood looks exactly like my real boxwoods, only better! I love the simple shape and no maintenance!
